Story
Phil Sly was a larger than life character whose motto was “it takes more energy making excuses than finding the answers”. He battled colorectal cancer, liver and lung metastases with the same determination as he applied to all aspects of his life.
The Pancare foundation offers the Phil Sly Research Scholarship to support a dedicated PhD candidate to achieve success in the important research of pancreatic, liver, biliary and foregut cancer. This scholarship acknowledges his generosity, passion and inspirational approach to life.
We invite you on Sunday, 28th April, 2019 to take part in the Pancare foundation Walk For Hope. We are taking part in the 5km family friendly walk around Princes Park, Carlton.
If you are considering joining us for the walk, please register individually and then nominate your team as 'TEAM PHIL'. All funds raised for this team will go directly to continue supporting the Phil Sly Scholarship.
