Our goal

Melbourne: walk in solidarity, unite in hope this April.

With the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation we will support social distancing measures currently being implemented by Federal Government, we will follow recommendations that non-essential organised gatherings of greater than 500 people do not proceed.

Walk for Hope Melbourne will not proceed in its current format - however we will still be running this event just in a different way. We are still working through what this will look like but will keep you posted via this website, email and our social media channels.

We appreciate that many of you love the Walk for Hope events as they provide a sense of solidarity and unity; allowing you to raise awareness, remember your loved ones and rally around those currently fighting pancreatic and upper GI cancers.

We encourage you to continue to register, fundraise and donate to help raise vital funds for pancreatic and upper GI cancer research, patient support services and awareness raising as we fight for better outcomes for those affected by these devastating cancers as we develop alternate plans which will be announced as soon as possible.

Whilst we are sorry that we are unable to provide you with the opportunity to physically come together, your health and safety is paramount.

Please remember that your fundraising will help Pancare provide patient support services, such as support groups, awareness and education, financial assistance and early detection programs such as our Familial Screening program at the Austin Hospital. Your fundraising also helps us fund research into early detection and new treatments that will improve patient outcomes.
